OpenCode vs Roo Code: Testing Gemma 26B for Local AI Coding

OpenCode 對決 Roo Code:用 Gemma 26B 在本地測試 AI 編程工具

I spent 10 hours yesterday testing OpenCode and Roo Code with Gemma 26B running on llama.cpp. Both tools can help you make real progress on coding projects, but they have different strengths and weaknesses. OpenCode has some serious issues right now that cause long prompt processing delays, while Roo Code works more reliably but takes longer to think through problems—likely because OpenCode has better-optimized prompts. The OpenCode issues might be unfixable on the llama.cpp side, so I'm planning to test both with other inference engines to get a clearer picture of which is actually better.
