I've tried multiple local models and different approaches to integrate them into VS Code Copilot Chat, but haven't had much success. While the models show up and are selectable, they don't perform anywhere near the level of even the smallest cloud-based or free models that come with Copilot Chat. They won't edit files or follow instructions properly—at best they work in 'Ask' mode, but 'Agent' mode is basically unusable. Has anyone actually gotten this working well?
