Harvard study: AI diagnoses patients more accurately than emergency room doctors

哈佛研究:AI 診斷準確度超越急診室醫生

A new Harvard study tested how large language models (LLMs) perform in real medical scenarios, including actual emergency room cases. The results? At least one AI model outperformed human doctors in diagnostic accuracy. Researchers fed the models real patient cases and compared the AI's diagnoses against what the ER doctors actually concluded. The findings suggest that AI might be better at catching what doctors miss — though this doesn't mean robots are taking over hospitals anytime soon. The study raises important questions about how we could use AI as a tool to help doctors make better decisions, not replace them.
